Submission Guidelines

GeoBD welcomes original contributions from geo-science students, researchers, professionals, and enthusiasts across Bangladesh and the diaspora. Please read these guidelines carefully before submitting.

What We Accept

  • Research Articles — Original findings, literature reviews, and technical analyses across all geo-science disciplines
  • Field Reports & Geo Vlogs — Documented field visits, expeditions, and location-based geo observations
  • Tutorials — Step-by-step guides for GIS software, remote sensing workflows, field methodology, and data analysis
  • Equipment & Software Reviews — Honest assessments of tools relevant to geo professionals in Bangladesh
  • Community News & Events — Reports from conferences, workshops, university events, and community activities
  • Career & Education Guides — Advice for students and professionals navigating the Bangladesh geo-science sector

Content Standards

  • All submissions must be original and not previously published elsewhere
  • Content must be relevant to geo-science in Bangladesh or the broader South Asian region
  • Claims must be supported by evidence — cite your sources where applicable
  • Writing should be clear, accurate, and free of plagiarism
  • We accept submissions in English; Bangla submissions may be considered for specific sections

Formatting

  • Recommended length: 500–3,000 words for standard articles; longer pieces accepted for in-depth research
  • Include a featured image (minimum 1200 × 800 px, landscape orientation)
  • Image captions should describe what is shown and credit the photographer or data source
  • Use headings (H2, H3) to break up long articles
  • Embed maps and charts as high-resolution images with descriptive captions

Review Process

All submissions are reviewed by GeoBD's editorial team within 3–5 working days. We may request revisions before publication. You will be notified by email at each stage. GeoBD reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, style, and length without altering the author's meaning.
